The short version

Your bank statements never leave your device. LocalLedger converts them inside your web browser. We never receive, see or store your statements or transactions.

Statements and transactions

When you choose a PDF, it's read by code running in your browser tab. The extracted transactions stay in that tab's memory and are discarded when you close or reload it. Exports are created in your browser and saved directly to your device.

What your browser stores

LocalLedger uses your browser's local storage to remember two things: your license key, if you've bought one, and a marker showing your free statement has been used. You can clear them at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser settings.

License checks

When you activate a license key, and occasionally afterwards, your browser sends the key to our server at /api/verify. The server asks our payment provider (Stripe) whether that purchase is paid and returns your plan and a partly hidden email address. Like any website, our hosting provider (Cloudflare) processes the IP address and request details needed to deliver the site and keep it secure.

Payments

Payments are handled by Stripe. We don't see or store your card details. Stripe's handling of your information is described in Stripe's privacy policy.

Analytics and cookies

LocalLedger doesn't use analytics, advertising trackers or tracking cookies.
