Converting a Truist statement
- Sign in to Truist online and open your statements. They're usually under Statements or Documents.
- Download the statement you need as a PDF.
- Drop the PDF into the box above. LocalLedger reads it in your browser and checks the transactions against the statement's balances.
- Export to Excel, CSV, QuickBooks Online, Xero or OFX.
LocalLedger reads the layout of the page rather than relying on a fixed template, so it works with bank statements as long as the PDF is a clear one. Downloaded PDFs are the most reliable, and scans or photos are read on your own computer.
Common questions
Is it safe to convert a Truist statement online?
LocalLedger converts the file inside your browser tab, so your Truist statement is never uploaded or stored on a server. You can check by turning off your internet connection after the page loads: it still works.
What if my Truist statement doesn't balance?
The balance check compares the converted rows with the opening and closing balances printed on the statement. If it doesn't match, the rows to check are highlighted. Try Fix columns, or email support@example.com with the bank name (please don't send the statement).
Can I try it on a Truist statement for free?
Yes. Your first statement is free to convert and export, with no signup. After that, a one-time license unlocks unlimited bank statements.

How it works
- 01
Drop your PDF
Use the statement PDF you download from online banking. Bank accounts and credit cards both work.
- 02
We read and check it
Every transaction is pulled out, then checked against the opening, closing and running balances printed on the statement.
- 03
Fix anything flagged, export
Rows that don't add up are highlighted. Edit them in place, then download Excel, CSV, QuickBooks, Xero or OFX.
Your statement never leaves your computer
Most converters upload your bank statement to their servers. LocalLedger doesn't. The conversion runs inside your browser using the open-source pdf.js library, so your account numbers and transactions stay on your device.
The site's security policy also stops the page from sending data to any other server.
Check it yourself
- Load this page.
- Turn off your Wi-Fi.
- Convert a statement. It still works.
Or open your browser's developer tools, watch the Network tab while you convert, and see that nothing is sent.
Checked to the cent before you export
Retyped or copy-pasted statements go wrong quietly: a dropped row, a flipped sign, a missed decimal. LocalLedger adds up every transaction and compares the result with the balances printed on your statement.
If the numbers match, you'll see ✓ Balances match. If not, the rows that don't add up are highlighted so you can fix them before the file goes into your books.

Questions
Is my statement really not uploaded?
Yes. The PDF is read by code running in your browser tab. There's no upload step and no server that processes statements. Load the page, turn off your internet connection, and it still converts. The only time the site contacts our server is to check a license key.
Which banks does it work with?
LocalLedger reads the layout of the statement instead of relying on a fixed template per bank, so it handles most text-based PDF statements from banks and card issuers. If a layout comes out wrong, the balance check tells you, and the Fix columns button usually sorts it out. If it doesn't, email support@example.com with the bank's name and we'll look at it. Please don't send the statement itself.
Does it work with scanned or photographed statements?
Yes. Drop a scanned PDF or a JPG/PNG photo and it reads the text on your own computer, so the scan is never uploaded. The first scan loads a small reader from this site, once. Scans can be misread, especially digits, so the balance check and a notice tell you what to verify. The PDF you download from online banking is still the most reliable.
How accurate is it?
Every conversion is compared against the balances printed on the statement itself. When you see “✓ Balances match”, the transactions add up exactly. When something is off, you'll see which rows to check.
Does it handle credit card statements?
Yes. Purchases come out as money out and payments as money in, ready for your accounting software. If a card statement is read the wrong way round, tick “Credit card statement” or use “Flip all signs”.
Why pay if it runs on my own computer?
Your purchase pays for the work of supporting more statement layouts and keeping the converter improving. There's no subscription. You pay once.
How does the license work?
After checkout you get a license key. Enter it in any browser you use. The Firm license covers up to 10 people at one firm.
Can I get a refund?
Yes, within 14 days of purchase, for any reason. Email support@example.com.
Can I convert several statements at once?
Not yet. Statements are converted one at a time.
